The Write Home is a curated selection of homes that meet the unique needs of small TV and film productions, photoshoots, and small events.

Dates can go fast, so booking early is advised. We recommend booking at least 2 weeks in advance (or more) for the highest chance of your desired date and time being available, and your request being accepted. Last minute requests are subject to the availability of the space and the host.

At this time, the calendar is only open 60 days in advance. Should you need a date that’s beyond 60 days, please e-mail hello@thewritehome.co with your request.

Once your reservation has been approved by the host, we’ll send an invoice your way. Upon payment, your reservation is officially confirmed and added to our booking calendar.

Absolutely! We’d love to set up a scout session for you. We book scout sessions as 30-minute reservations. Please submit your request along with details about your booking, and we will coordinate a time for you to visit the space.

Please note that while we don’t charge for scout sessions at this time, due to the time and preparation required, a failure to cancel at least 6 hours in advance may result in you not being approved for future bookings.

The space comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests depending on the use of space. If your booking requires more than 10 people present, please e-mail us at hello@thewritehome.co and we’ll see if we can accommodate your needs.

When you book, we’ll email you a detailed guidebook with all of the information that you need about accessing and using the home the day before your reservation. We encourage you to read through the guidebook prior to arrival to ensure that you’re familiar with accessing the space.

We do allow outside catering and full use of the space amenities. Please note that any excessive cleaning as a result of cooking and food preparation will require an additional fee. Please let us know ahead of time what you intend to use the space for so we can make necessary accommodations.

While we don’t personally provide catering services, we do have access to a select network of chefs and catering companies who can provide you with their services. Please let us know at time of booking if you’re interested in more information.

At this time, the space only comes with one table and a set of chairs that accommodate up to 4 people. While we can look into rental options on your behalf, we encourage you to bring in additional chairs and tables at your own expense. Please let us know ahead of time what you intend to use the space for so we can make necessary accommodations.

Due to guest sensitivities with smoke, we do not allow smoking inside of the space. However, you’re more than welcome to smoke outdoors. Smoking inside the home will result in additional fees.

Reservations cancelled 7+ days in advance from the production date are fully refundable (less the reservation fee).

Reservations cancelled 2 - 7 days prior to the production date are refundable by 50% (less the reservation fee).

Reservations cancelled 24 hours or less from production date are non-refundable.
